We follow the collections of certain lines that are entirely outside our budgets for two main reasons: one, because we’d like to think that someday our budgets will magically expand, and two, because we’re holding out hope they’ll eventually launch a ready-to-wear. In the spirit of the latter: consider Le Bac, the more moderately priced line from the designers behind United Bamboo, Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham. Now keep in mind: the tag moderately priced still places some of these pieces in splurge territory. That said, if you’re going to splurge, Le Bac’s black and white duffle coat might be the exact place to do it. Also on the lineup are a host of preppie button-ups, a works-with-everything tan cardigan and a faux fur-accented Fish Coat (pictured)—each serving up a health dose of that United Bamboo polish.
