Supra's Pink Society Shoe Supports Cancer Research
Supra teams up with Elyse Walker in the fight against cancer with the Pink Party Society.
Earlier this week, Supra joined forces with Elyse Walker, the founder of the Pink Party, in the fight against cancer by creating a limited-edition Pink Party Society shoe in honor of the this year’s annual event, which was hosted by actress Anne Hathaway.
“I started the Pink Party in honor of my mother, Barbara Feder,” explains Elyse Walker, the founder of the yearly celebration raising awareness about women’s cancers and raising money for cancer research, “who was diagnosed with stage-four ovarian cancer at the age of 40.”
Feder’s diagnosis was terminal, and she never had the chance to benefit from early detection, which is why Walker has made it her mission to spread awareness to women all over the world to encourage them to get tested regularly.
Walker approached Supra’s co-founder Angel Cabada in the hopes of joining forces to further the cause, and together they created a limited-edition shoe style (this is the fourth year Supra has supported the Pink Party), a high-top silhouette with a statement-making pink pattern and hot pink Velcro straps.
The Pink Park Society shoe, $105.00, is available now at Supra retailers worldwide and online at suprafootwear.com. Proceeds support women’s cancer research.
