This year's NYSFF boasts a selection of films to rival any event in the industry. From surfing Oktoberfest country to the rise of Newport Beach's reputation as a surf capital, you might have a difficult time just deciding what to see! Here's a rundown of some of the films we're stoked on:

"Keep Surfing"
Munich is known around the world as a town of beer and pretzel lovers, but it's also a place where river riders can catch a wave or two. This film is all about those urban dwellers looking for the same freedom and joy others find on the sea.

"God Went Surfing with the Devil"
This gem comes from the least likely of places as the strongly messaged film highlights surfing in Palestine.

"Idiosyncracies"
Pretty much everyone in the industry is on pins-and-needles waiting for this one.

"Stoked and Broke"
This documentary about Ryan Burch and Cyrus Stutton's "Staycation Surfari" look pretty fun, considering they spent zero dollars surfing the West Coast, building their own boards, rickshaws and hobo cookers.

Get tickets for the festival, taking place Sept. 24-26, here.
