What do you love most about fashion?
The fact that it's not standard. Each and every one of us can have a different idea of what fashion is and shape it to ourselves. It gives you the power to express yourself, showing who you are and what you care about.
If you could swap closets with anyone, who would it be and why?
I guess it would be Kate Bosworth! I truly love her “hippie-meets-boho” style! And we are more or less same size so I could actually fit in her clothes.
If you had to describe your style in one word, what would it be?
Mixed-up. I’m half Italian and half Venezuelan. I’m already mixed up in the DNA arena, so my style was meant to be so! I’m studying fashion but I like the sporty side of it—I walk in the city dreaming about the sea. Everything in my life is a mix of this and that.
What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
Short-shorts. One pair in particular actually, so used that they're completely ripped and faded. I bought them on my first trip to London alone and they were a symbol of my freedom. I love them because they just look good with everything, with an elegant blouse or with a tank top for strolling around the beach.
Coolest outfit you've ever seen on someone else?
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at Coachella this year. It was simply a perfect look, simple but stunning at the same time. Other celebrities at Coachella did well, too.
Admit it—we all have those "running to the grocery store" outfits! What does yours look like?
First of all sunglasses—the best way to hide that you are without makeup. Sweatshirt, rolled-up jeans and flip flops. The only problem is that too often I forget that I’m not just going to the grocery store and I end up hanging around in the city dressed like that!
Are there a few websites or stores that you constantly find yourself shopping at a lot?
OH YES! Quiksilver for sure, I’ve been working there for the summer and I just can't stop shopping. It’s very hard selling things you like and not buying them for yourself.
Do you have a style icon?
I don’t really have a style icon because I always prefer to create my own style but I really admire Sienna Miller, Kate Bosworth and even a sporty girl like Stephanie Gilmore.
Any fall trend predictions?
I expect floral prints and natural colors to be everywhere, especially on dresses and denim. I just hope that the skulls trend will loosen up a bit, being a life lover I’m quite tired of it.
