Whit by Whitney Pozgay

It can be painful trying to appreciate the work of a girl who was born into a family of famous designers. So discovering WHIT by Whitney Pozgay is like a cool drink after a laborious day in the heat: refreshing and necessary. Whitney is the niece of prep-wear maven Kate Spade, and while she may have inherited her aunt's penchant for clean cuts and simple silhouettes, she worked diligently to stake her claim in time for Fashion Week this year by studying at the ultra-exclusive Parons and FIT and by working for Spade and Steven Alan.

We love WHIT's playful and tomboyish designs, like her Nordic-inspired cashmere and wool sweaters and gunmetal-hued skirts, so much that we're the official media sponsor for WHIT's Spring/Summer 2011 presentation in NYC this week! Keep your eyes peeled for more from on of our new favorite designers.
