When your wetsuit stares looking a little threadbare, time to give it a break and head for the hills for some skiing or snowboarding, a pastime that just got easier with the announcement that four major mountains have teamed up to offer a multi-resort hill pass.

Aspen, Colorado, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Alta, Utah and Squaw Valley, California, four of the premiere independent Western mountain destinations, are now part of the Mountain Collective, an alliance that will offer snow-sports enthusiasts a 2012-2013 season pass for just $349. The Mountain Collective Pass includes two free days at each of the four mountains, plus a 50 percent discount on unlimited tickets at each of the destinations once the complimentary days are used.

Four moutanins, over 16,000 acres of terrain, over 100 lifts and some of the best skiers and snowboarders in the world, for less the price of a new snowsuit? We might forget about that wetsuit altogether.
