Champion skateboarder Lizzie...

Champion skateboarder Lizzie Armanto stands out, but not just because she's a skilled athlete in an sport mostly defined by male achievement. She’s the World Cup of Skateboarding’s number-one ranked female bowl rider, and she does it with style—but her colored skinny jeans and corset tops do nothing to hinder her medal-winning skateboarding.

After only five years of skating, she’s already landed sponsorships with Independent Trucks, Bones Wheels, Killer Pads and Helmets as well as Santa Monica Airlines Skateboards.

But she doesn’t do it for the fame, and she doesn’t do it for the glory. Armanto aspires to simply “grow up to be happy.” She claims: “If I can do that I’ll be stoked. Hopefully the whole pro-skating will be a part of that too.” It’s a refreshing outlook on life that keeps her grounded while she searches the world for her next skate spot.
