Sharp angled rainbows jet throughout hundreds of multi-colored beads while stripes and shapes collide, coming together in a culmination of hours (and sometimes days) of hard work to make the individual pieces behind Brokenfab. When you head out for you evening of dance and drinks in these dazzlers, the creations don't just make the outfit–they are the outfit. Swiss designer Fabienne Morel is the energy and drive behind the handmade jewelry line, pulling inspiration everywhere from clubs in London to' 80s beats and '90s rhythm–making her designs some of the most sought after jewelry this side of the Northern hemisphere.
With art this tenacious, one starts to wonder what type of colorful mind is behind such an array of rainbow pieces. Foam caught with the designer to get to know a little bit about the woman that cultivated such designs as the hand-beaded Pyramid Earring and the Disco Bracelet.
What is a typical day like for you?
Getting up at 8am and having a cafe with muesli and reading some magazines to get in the mood for being creative. Then I get to e-mails and blog-checking and slowly start with beading, designing and listening to some tunes. I then turn to dancing for some time and then working. Maybe try on some clothes, surf the web, e-mail and work some more. Then I might go out to buy some food, have a cafe, or swim in the lake. Often I work until very late, as in the night I'm more focused.

Underpants! They are essential. Trousers, these are also essential, with a pullover. I can be very simple.
If you could have designed the rainbow, how would you color it?
The rainbow would have all the colors, but from time to time the rainbow will change the combination. I don't really have favorite colors because I love them all! It is a pleasure for me to play around with colors and combine them in my pieces.
