Last week was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I was invited to the Roxy Pro in Biarritz, France to surf a single fin invitational organized by Kassia Meador and Roxy.

While my roll in Biarritz was merely to hang out, bring the surfing ambiance, and surf two expression session heats, there was something much bigger at hand—the Women's ASP World Title race. For me, the shift from the usual intense competition for a longboard world title to just being there and enjoying myself was insanely cool. I got to see Steph Gilmore claim her fifth world title (the seventh world title claimed in Biarritz in seven years) and even helped carry her up the beach.

I spent the week hanging and surfing with a handful of my favorite male and female loggers in the world. Here are a few snapshots from the epic hang that went down and some beautiful scenes in the Basque country. Enjoy!
