We've long loved the internationalist party sounds of Pablo Diaz-Riexa, a.k.a. El Guincho. The Spaniard's 2008 album hipped us to a tropicalia-based pastiche that instantly puts us on a beach somewhere in Southern Europe. Now, Diaz-Reixa has enlisted his cousins Alfred and Carlos to show us how to properly appreciate tracks from his upcoming album, Pop Negro—by hitting the waves. The adorable duo treats us to a tease of the track "FM Tan Sexy," and you can download the single, "Bombay," right here.
Diaz-Reixa on the inspiration for the album:
"I guess the main sentiment is a sort of nostalgic love for the music that I heard on FM radio as a teenager, that "promise" that music gives you, that thing you feel when you're in a car with your friends or family and you listen to a certain hit and it makes you think you want to be inside of that."
Pop Negro is out September 14.
