New Orleans: What Can't Be Lost

Cristina Black is our go-to source for everything rad in music, so we were thrilled to hear she is one of the writers included in New Orleans: What Can't Be Lost, a book commemorating the rich musical history of the southern city through 88 memoirs and stories and stunning black and white photography.

"These 88 stories, each a "note" on a kind of grand piano, are songs of survival."- Cristina Black

This month marks the 5th anniversary of hurricane Katrina's devastating visit to the south, so there is no better time to remember why the city is worth rebuilding: It is a perfectly curated hub of musical festivities, food rich with tradition, and streets that hide the perfect little coffee shops.
