"The Innovations of Hobie" Exhibit opens at the Surfing Heritage Foundation this Saturday.

Ever since Hobie opened the doors of their first surf shop back in 1954, they've set the standard for innovation in surf, skate and sail (they pioneered the manufacturing of foam and Fiberglass boards!). From the first production skateboard on the market to the original Hobie Cat, The Surfing Heritage Foundation will highlight the brand's accomplishments with "The Innovations of Hobie" exhibit, open to the public April 29 to July 15, 2012.

An exhibition on the history of surfboards from the early 20th century to today will be on view in the adjacent permanent collection galleries.
