It's a common dilemma: A boundary-pushing fashion disciple moves to a beach town and searches in vain for swimwear that syncs up with her personal style. So what did Canadian designer Beth Richards do when faced with with said problem? She solved it with her debut Spring/Summer 2012 line of swimwear.

Richard's foray into swim is inspired by fashion, surf and skate iconography, from the Bardot, a black mesh top full piece that's a clear ode to its buxom namesake, to the Locs, with a print that stems from a Dogtown locals only graffiti tag.

The collection was designed to be worn in the water as easily as it can be paired with denim and other wardrobe classics, and every piece is made with fabric that retains its shape over time and protects the skin against UV rays. Swimwear that looks cool and holds up to high demands? Welcome to the club Beth Richards.
