From hip shaking to holograms, guest blogger Alex Swanson gives us a play-by-play recap of music's big weekend straight from Indio:

Blue skies hung clear and warm over cut-off shorts and vintage concert tees streaming in from and endless ocean of parking. In the camp zone, the art park was the hit—crafters provided feathers, beads, puff paint, lace and glue guns for festival folks, who upcycled old clothes left behind from past Coachella concerts!

In the venue it was a race from stage to stage, filled with those moments when you wish your super power would be to be in more than one place at a time. Other Lives was my new found discovery, soon on tour with Radiohead. I'm not sure if I'm late to the party having just heard about this band, but if that's the case, I'm just happy I got an invite!

The winds blew in strong in the afternoon and we all shivered to the beat of the tunes, but spirits stayed strong. How can they not when surrounded by a sparkling ferris wheel, purple palms and a massive disco ball spinning at the Black Keys' show?

The morning buzz at the campsite centered on the Black Keys' disco ball finale, and how the temperature dropped deep into a bitter wet shiver—I thanked my lucky stars I had packed my trusty old leather coat as a stand-in blanket.

Nothing would stop the weekend warriors though and spirits ran high when the tunes started beating strong! Moving from the mellow voice of Feist to the raving beats of David Guetta and Miike Snow, day two offered something for whatever mood you found yourself in.

Style find of the day: neon petticoats. It's the easiest update to any old dress you've got laying around, and yet most beautiful outcome. Best place to find one? The little girls section of your local thrift shop!

The weekend couldn't have ended any better: Perfect weather, a cloudless sky and band after band after band—on top of bands— that couldn't be missed. Every minute I thought my boot-clad feet were done for, but they'd get a second wind with the beat drop of each new song.

The young ladies of First Aid Kit won over my heart with their folk rock tunes, inspired by those of Johnny Cash and Bonny Rait.
For those music A.D.D junkies out there, myself included, Girl Talk is still the go-to favorite.

Finishing out the night strong was none other than Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre. Oh, and Wiz Khalifa. And Eminem. Oh ya, and don't forget about 50 cent. Oh shoot, and did I mention they brought Tupac back from the dead for a guest appearance? Yeah, I know. I'm still in shock too. Apparently that's just how Snoop-a-loop rolls. Word.
