We're hosting a SXSW rager (TONIGHT) with Black Iris Records, so we asked the bands playing our show to let us peep their trip to Austin.
"We just played in Boone, North Carolina on our way down to SXSW. Named for Daniel. The venue was Black Cat Burrito. Cheap beer, housemade salsa. They had to clear out the tables for the show. Quay kept hitting her head on the hanging lights. Great crowd; all the whooping made me blush. A schoolteacher couldn’t afford a t-shirt but wanted to give us five dollars, just ‘cause (we cut her a deal). Black Cat gave us salsa to go and drew a pair of tits on the cup. We didn’t have a place to crash, so the organizers put us up at '641 rpm,' Boone’s record store. All vinyl, the real deal. We browsed records before falling asleep. We fucking love Boone."
