While most college nicknames fade away after graduation, artist and designer Leeza Meksin decided to keep hers alive by passing it on to her appropriately zany accessories brand, Deezdogg. Using recycled plastic, ropes and bungee cords left over from her art installations, Meksin creates some of our favorite statement necklaces—all the while supporting sustainable fashion. "I was really interested in the idea of transforming a material, to shift its value and meaning," she says. We like to do a little recontextualizing of ourown, by pairing the unconventional necklaces with a simple tee.
