Shopping at Tavin is like sifting through the closet of the chic aunt you’ve always wished you had. The lovingly packed Echo Park boutique is a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, books and ephemera, and also features new clothes by avant-garde designers. The store’s mastermind and curator is Erin Tavin, a former clothing buyer, stylist and costumer. Her unique sensibility—a mix of the nostalgic, emotional and exotic—is the driving force behind Tavin’s assortment of bohemian must-haves. Our favorite part of the shopping experience? The store’s hangtags feature clever poetry penned by the proprietress herself.
