You don't have to have the smooth moves to enjoy the newest edition of Nicole Disson's live, site-specific performance series. Directed by Mecca Vazie Andrews, THE SERIES XI: "Electric Shivers" will be a dance-heavy event featuring Hysteria Dance Company under the direction of choreographer Kitty McNamee. Poor Dog Group will also return to the rooftop at the Standard, Downtown LA with musical guests VUM, Pharaohs, classical composer Jason Turbin and singer/songwriter John Gold with mariachi band Trio Ellas. Fine artist America Martin will be painting and you'll be able to catch video art by Amy Jo Diaz, Touche's new music video "Snow White" by Igigi Studios, along with Poem Store live by writer Jacqueline Suskin.
Also performing will be actresses Jenny Greer and Nicole Disson with director Zoe Aja Moore, beat-boxing harpist Phillip King and writer Mandy Kahn, with tunes played throughout the night by DJ Jung Hollywood. Performers will be wearing clothes from Himiku's new line and jewelery by Ouroboros Designs.
