Body Glove x Jean-Michel Cousteau Alliance wetsuit design
"Supposedly Cousteau and his cronies invented the idea of putting walkie-talkies into the helmet."- Steve Zissou
Bill Murray and company emulated the world's most famous French ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau when they geared up in red caps and baby-blue suits for The Life Aquatic– the same blues that will adorn a new range of wetsuits, surf shirts and rash guards inspired by the Cousteau family.
Jean-Michel Cousteau, the son of Jacques, who was "thrown overboard" at age seven in newly invented SCUBA gear, has teamed up with Body Glove International for the new collection, which was just premiered last week. A percentage of each purchase will benefit Cousteau's ocean preservation foundation Ocean Futures Society.
The collection will be available in early 2012 for purchase.
