"So we finally shot the lookbook last weekend! I had been scrambling to finish samples (I even ended up in the emergency room at one point) but I managed to bring it all together for a pretty kick-ass photoshoot if I do say so myself.

It was a bit of a family affair: the photographer was my sister, Claire Thomas, the model and stylists were my BFFs Alex Ferreira and Jessica Currie. It was nice working with a team that I'm so comfortable with and they definitely knocked it out of the park. It was Alex's first time officially modeling but no one could tell because she was such a pro.

The whole vibe of the lookbook was kind of rock n' roll, rough, tough, but with hints of glamour using furs and punches of color. I was lucky enough to pull clothes from Curve and Revolve Clothing, so we had tons of Alexander Wang, Isabel Marant, Proenza Schouler, and Acne to choose from. It was my heaven! The general look included slicked back hair, nose rings, hard core boots, and lots of Luv Aj.

I was excited to use some of the new Luv Aj turbans that I'll be selling this season. It was a collaboration I did with a label called UNH and they really fit perfectly with the studs and spikes integrated throughout the whole shoot. During the day, we also shot a lookbook video with a super slow motion camera called the Phantom. I always like to do a video as well as still shots, and this time we got to work with the guy that produced all of the slow motion scenes from Inception. SO COOL. I was joking that this was probably the lamest shoot he has done to date, but I was honored to have someone of that caliber help us out with the video portion of the shoot. All in all, it turned out dope. Look back on this week for the finished products!
