"I shot this at a desolate old resort town called Morecambe, a place that holds a lot of memories for me. I returned to shoot it after an absence of about 15 years. I remember being there in winter, huge waves crashing high over the sea defences and hearing, with childhood innocence and fright, about people being swept away and drowned– that feeling stays with me now. I am fearful of the ocean, but find myself more and more drawn to it. To the endless, cold and wild sea, it fills me with a sense of foreboding, but also of wonder."-James Loveday
