Billabong surfer Peter Mendia has joined the Board of Directors for Share the Stoke Foundation, a program founded by FOAM Role Model Kelly Kingston that donates used surfboards to children in need around the world.

Kingston started Share the Stoke in 2007 after a "For Sale" ad she posted on Craiglist offering up her used surfboard went unanswered. The South Florida resident decided instead to offer the board up for free to a child in need, and has since located and gifted over 50 surfboards to children in coastal communities in California, Maryland, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
