The Future Perfect

Danielle DeVincenzo is what you’d call a multi-hypenate:
part clothing designer, part jewelry designer and part alt-folk drummer (that’s her in this issue’s Joshua Tree shoot, with her band Jeffertiti’s Nile). She developed original fashions and accessories for LA hotspot Scout before deciding to focus exclusively on a collection of original jewelry. Onward into the Future, her line of baubles in silver and bronze, features organic shapes and finishes that give each piece a recently excavated quality. So then why is the line inspired by the excitement of the future and new possibilities? In DeVincenzo’s words, “We are always involved in a cycle of creation and constant evolution.” Her lofty ideas translate to earthy statement pieces that mimic natural formations such as tusks and minerals, and that thankfully won’t soon go out of style.
