"New York: 'Concrete jungle where dreams are made of'- I was on the way to the airport and my driver blasted that song (acoustic version), and it made me sad! I know it sounds silly, but it did. I thought about my trip and was in disbelief of, firstly, how much I saw and experienced, secondly, the people I met and, thirdly, how much it all inspired me.
Day 7: I had a really fun shoot with a good friend of mine: surfer Kassia Meador. It was shot in an incredible apartment in Soho, and was so fun and just natural. No hair, no makeup. After that I had the day off to cruise then met up with Steph Gilmore and Karina Patroni for dinner (such fun girls!). We danced to the rad band at dinner then went home and laughed untill we cried about stories and Youtube videos...good times!
Day 8: I woke up and had some wonderful room service before I got ready to pack and fly– I was meant to be head straight home but my schedule was changed last minute, so I'm actually writing this from California! I'm here for a few more days with Nike before I head home to my amazing family and friends.
End and all, my time in NYC was one of a kind. The trip was a life learning experience that will be completely unforgettable. I feel like I have grown and found incredible inspiration. It's exciting and I can't wait to go back again already, but it's time get home and get back in the water– I've missed the ocean by the way!
That's it for me guys, hope you enjoyed hearing about my trip. I know you can all find some new inspiration in your life along the way! NYC did it for me...loving it!
