Just in time for awards season, London's Victoria and Albert Museum teams up with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to present some of cinemas most memorable costumes.

Who could forget Rose’s pre-Titanic boarding ensemble, or Dorothy’s glittering ruby red shoes? Now, you can view both—in addition to other iconic clothing and accessories from movies past—at the Hollywood Costume exhibit in Los Angeles. Curated by Academy-award nominated costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis, whose resume includes Coming to Americaand the ‘Thriller’ video, the collection includes Shakespearean gowns, shimmering show pieces, and period 70s dresses from Oscar winning films like Shakespeare in LoveDreamgirls, and American Hustle. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the beginning of awards season.
